Human rights should apply to all people - men, women and children irrespective of caste, creed, religion and region. However, women often denied of their basic rights that form part of everyday life such as freedom of movement, access to education and participation in decision-making process. There are many barriers to equality between the sexes. Important factors include gender stereotyping violence against women, social and cultural attitudes, and discriminating laws and practices. Women throughout the world live in constant fear and conditions of deprivation very often for their simple reason that they are women. For Indian women violence takes the form of foeticide, infanticide, dowry related murders, battering among others. What escalates violence is the widespread sanction for violence against women. Through such sanctions women are controlled and subjugated. Welfare Trust involves in generating awareness among the common people of their basic Fundamental Rights and sensitizes women on various laws with regard to these problems.
